Biography

Meet Minister Mericha Walker—a bold voice for this generation and a trailblazer in youth ministry across The Bahamas.

Born and raised in New Providence, she holds a double bachelor’s degree in Youth and Music Ministry from Prairie College in Alberta, Canada, and has faithfully served in ministry since the age of sixteen. With over two decades of experience, Mericha is now the first female General Youth Director of The Highway Church of God Bahamas, overseeing 19 churches throughout the nation.

She’s a certified counselor with training in suicide prevention, addiction, and grief, a two-time Marlin Award nominee, an Elevation Award Nominee, a Bahamas Gospel Music Award recipient, and was honored with the Louise Simmons National Youth Ally Award in 2021. Mericha has facilitated intervention programs in C V Bethel, S C McPherson, C H Reeves, R M Bailey, Government High Schools respectively.

An author of three impactful books—Lead On: Fueling Your Fire as a Youth Leader, Building Dynamic Foundations, and The 4T’s Approach to Youth Ministry—Mericha equips leaders to build strong, Spirit-led youth ministries. She sings solo and with the gospel group Denczil Rolle & Friends, teaches voice lessons, and facilitates leadership seminars. She’s also the founder of The Style Concierge, where she blends faith, fashion, and function with flair.

Currently serving as the Administrator and Teen LIFE Youth Director at LIFE Worship Center, Mericha is also the manager and radio host of “Girl Talk” on Glory 93.9FM—a show inspiring women around the globe.

Her message is clear, her impact undeniable, and her journey defined by three enduring words: Passion. Purpose. Pursuit.
